Gang Addiction Mental Disorder (GAMD)

Gang Addiction Mental Disorder is a trauma-informed recovery and rehabilitation program that treats gang involvement as both a behavioral addiction and a mental health disorder. Designed for youth and adults impacted by gang life, the program addresses the psychological, emotional, and social factors that contribute to gang affiliation—including trauma, identity loss, peer pressure, and survival mentality. Through therapy, group counseling, mentorship, and cognitive-behavioral workshops, participants learn to break loyalty bonds, manage triggers, build self-worth, and develop new coping mechanisms. The program promotes healing, self-identity, and positive reentry into society with ongoing support from former gang members, counselors, and community leaders.
